Congo is a digitally fabricated art piece created for Figment Art Festival at governors island. Our charge was to create a standalone piece with an element to engage with the public. The design was to raise awareness of African and Asian Elephant that is endangered of extinction. It was then computer generated and constructed out of 389 unique plywood triangles. During the festival we invited the public to illustrate their definition of strength in each panel of the elephant. Congo has been featured in Figment Art Festival, Dumbo Art Festival, Worlds Maker Faire, Redesign Revolution and Situ Studio Blog.
